Independent Working Cook I – China Garden Landsmeer
China Garden in Landsmeer is a Chinese-Indonesian restaurant located on Nieuwe Gouw and is well known for its Chinese-Cantonese culinary specialties, flavorful dishes, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests visit China Garden for its varied menu, fresh ingredients, and consistent quality. To strengthen the kitchen team, China Garden is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Independent Working Cook I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Working Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
- Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
- Applying basic cooking techniques
- Contributing ideas and providing input regarding the composition and adjustment of menus, menu items, and working methods
- Taking responsibility for inventory management and ordering supplies
- Providing technical guidance and supervision to kitchen assistants and support staff
What You Bring as an Independent Working Cook I at China Garden in Landsmeer
- MBO Level 3 working and thinking level (or equivalent vocational education)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Independent, responsible, and able to perform well under pressure
- A team player with an eye for quality and hygiene

- Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month (depending on experience and skills)
