6x Independent Cook I – Indian Restaurant Swagat & Tangra in Amsterdam
Indian Restaurant Swagat and Tangra in Amsterdam are two restaurants located next to each other on Stadionweg. Swagat is known for its North Indian and Punjabi dishes, while Tangra adds its own Asian-Indian character to the dining experience. Together, the restaurants offer guests a varied menu, flavorful dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. To strengthen the kitchen teams, Swagat and Tangra are looking for 6x Independent Cook I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen duties and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your duties include:
Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
Applying basic cooking techniques
Thinking along and providing input on the composition and adjustment of menus, menu cards and working methods
Taking responsibility for inventory management and orders
Professionally supervising and guiding assistant kitchen staff.

Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month, depending on skills and background
