The restaurant is known for freshly prepared dishes, a varied menu and a kitchen where quality, efficiency and teamwork are central. To strengthen the kitchen team, Riksja Volendam is looking for an enthusiastic Independent Cook I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Cook I you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen duties and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your tasks include among others:
Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
Applying basic cooking techniques
Thinking along and providing input about composition and adjustment of menus, menu card and working methods
Being responsible for stock management and orders
Technically guiding and supervising assistant(s)

MBO level 3 work and thinking level
Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Independent, responsible and stress-resistant
Team player with an eye for quality and hygiene
What do we offer from Riksja Volendam?
Market-based salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month (depending on experience and skills)
Pension scheme according to the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (horeca-cao)
