Cook/Cook For our client, a Dutch restaurant that has been a household name for 50 years, widely known to many generations as the best place for a delicious lunch, a romantic dinner or a pleasant end to the day in the most vibrant city in western Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, we are looking for Candidates for the position of Cook/Chef Location - Sluis, the Netherlands We offer: - 3000 - 4000 euro gross/month - Min. 40 h/week - From 165 to 190 h/month - Working hours 9:00-19:00 / 5 days a week - Dutch employment contract - One free hot meal during the working day - Accommodation is provided by the client right next to the workplace - price 15 euros per day; in the form of double and family rooms - Getting to work does not require transportation, it is possible to get there on foot Tasks: - Cleaning of the working environment and kitchen equipment and identification of peculiarities/failures - Disposal of waste materials - Assist in receiving and storing delivered goods - Performing preparation activities such as washing, cutting, (pre) cooking, mixing, etc..; - Assessing the quality (freshness, shelf life, etc.) of products/ingredients to be used - Preparation of (auxiliary) measures - Simultaneous preparation of utensils and/or parts of utensils according to recipes or instructions of the cook - Performing interim quality checks (baking, taste, color, fluidity, etc.) and making adjustments/additions as necessary - Preparing dishes for serving (preparing plates/decorating) - Checking dishes for compliance with presentation requirements (before serving) - Handing over finished dishes - Monitoring and accounting for the quantities of ingredients and semi-finished products used - Making suggestions for adjusting menus/menu, recipes, side dishes, etc. - Developing suggestions in recipes and preparation instructions, etc. Requirements: - Good knowledge of English - a necessary requirement - Experience in the profession - Demonstrated knowledge of basic cooking techniques - Knowledge of products/ingredients and (composition of) menus - Meticulousness - Resilience to stress - Resume in English
