Construction Carpenter – Norway
Job Description: We are looking for experienced construction carpenters to work on building projects in Stavanger and the surrounding areas. 80% of the projects are located within a 15–30 km radius from the city center. The projects are long-term in nature – ranging from 2 months to even 2 years.
Responsibilities include:
- constructing wooden structures both internally and externally,
- assembling aluminum frames, drywall, suspended ceilings, and system walls,
- replacing windows and doors,
- facade work (cladding, facades).
Requirements:
- at least 1 year of experience in the profession,
- knowledge of English or Norwegian at a communicative level (A1–A2),
- a driving license and own car are preferred,
We offer:
- an hourly rate of 250–280 NOK gross (depending on experience),
- a tool allowance of 5 NOK/h,
- paid commuting to work (according to zones),
- 12% holiday pay (feriepenger),
- reimbursement for toll fees,
- assistance in finding accommodation (cost from 5,500/month, possibility of covering the deposit by the employer),
- standard working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime up to 48 hours/week (as decided by the site manager),
- work clothing and required courses covered by the employer.
Type of contract: employment contract (up to 80% of full-time depending on the frequency of trips back to the country).
