CNC operator with skills EU residences only

For a customer near Antwerp, Belgium we are looking for a Cnc operator Your tasks: • you make new parts according to plan or carry out repairs to various rotating parts. • You mill and turn various types of materials according to your own instructions or working drawings • You read and interpret working drawings • You determine different processing phases and choose the tools, taking into account the machine, the material and the set standards. • You check the produced pieces. • You identify malfunctions in the machines and discuss the necessary corrective measures in consultation with the Team Coordinator or Operations Manager. • You maintain machine and equipment. • You mainly operate a CNC boring machine. • You independently program and produce new workpieces, both single pieces and small series. • You repair existing parts based on a technical drawing or sketch, for your colleagues from the assembly departments such as: o Pump housings and impellers o Shafts of steam turbines, compressors, pumps. o Labyrinth Seals and Spareparts. You check the finished pieces independently using various measuring instruments. You actively participate in team meetings (Impact, Toolbox, ...) You will work in our workshop in Ghent or Zwijndrecht, near Antwerp What do we expect from you? • Technology is in your DNA. Just like your colleagues, you are passionate about technical challenges. • You have mechanical knowledge, gained at school or through experience. If you have first work experience in our industry, that is a plus. • Do you have a VCA certificate? Great, if not you are prepared to achieve this in the short term. • Experience in reading construction drawings is a plus. • You work meticulously, punctually and are increasingly able to plan your own work. • You have a service and customer-oriented attitude. The customer comes first. With that attitude you can deal with variable workload, overtime or very exceptional weekend work. • You are fluent in English, both reading and talking, Dutch is a major plus but no requirement • You are willing to move to Belgium and to work here on the long term.
