Our client is a Belgian company and a European leader in the production of specialized large steel components. The company's products are currently used globally in the lifting industry, railways, heavy transport, wind energy, defense industry, and many other sectors. The headquarters and main production facility are located in Belgium. For dedicated production processes, the company also operates two autonomous production plants; one in Germany and another in Poland. The company is a leading European supplier of oversized steel components; for example, sections for heavy-duty telescopic cranes, as well as chassis and slewing rings for cranes. The company has a rich background in precision machining of high-quality steel of all grades, from small/medium components to large-scale items.
We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious bending machine operators to operate large hydraulic press brakes (with a pressure of up to 4000 tons and lengths of up to 16 meters).
Press Brake Operator (€5040-5250 net) with free accommodation and transportation to work.

Responsibilities:
The scope of duties includes operating long, thick, and complex steel components on high-quality steel plate bending presses. The direct supervisor for the operator is the production manager.
• Operating and monitoring heavy bending machines for bending steel sheets of various thicknesses and grades.
• Interpreting technical drawings, bending sequences, and work instructions to perform complex bending operations.
• Configuring machines, adjusting parameters, and selecting appropriate tools for each task.
• Handling large and heavy sheets, ensuring safe positioning and alignment.
• Conducting quality checks on formed components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Reporting any machine malfunctions, material defects, or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety and order standards.
Requirements:
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications and skills.
• Experience in operating large hydraulic press brakes or similar heavy machining equipment will be an additional advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bending plans.
• Commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology and ability to maintain a disciplined and organized workspace.
• Teamwork skills and good communication abilities.
• Forklift and crane certifications will be an additional advantage.
• Knowledge of English or French.
• Punctuality, accuracy, precision.
• Independence, but also the ability to work in a team.
