Catering Assistants – Schiphol Airport Amsterdam We work with Gate Gourmet at Schiphol Airport, with our team assisting with the exciting logistics, from pre-flight preparation including cart/meal packing, delivery and galley loading, through to post-flight removal and cleaning of carts and equipment. Gate Gourmet provides an important part of the operation at Schiphol, ensuring a smooth operation to ensure that flights are supplied on time and ready for departure. To strengthen the team at Schiphol, we are looking for Catering Assistants to join the team. The offer • Full time 40 hours a week • € 12.00 - €13.44 per hour (Depending on experience) • 135% Saturday Working • 170% Sunday Working • 8.8% Holiday allowance on top • 13th Month pay bonus • Travel allowance • Free and Discounted meals • Free Airport parking (If required) • Great working environment Your role: • Perform order-related activities as directed by supervisor(s) and as directed by job-specific instructions and specifications (in materials management, manufacturing, order picking, equipment, order fulfillment processes). • Adhere to hygiene, quality, work and safety regulations/precautions. • Assist in workflows by providing required materials, lining, packing, rinsing, stowing/loading, preparing/loading and transporting containers. • Clean and maintain cleanliness of assigned work station and work equipment and ensure that operating equipment is ready for use. Waste disposal. • Perform labeling, transportation, transfer and supply activities. 6. Assist with inventories. About you • Experience is not required however a stable work history is beneficial • Clean Criminal record and have the rights to work in the EU • Knowledge of quality and hygiene standards • IT literate • Speak good English • Committed and flexible (shift work is required) • Good communication and team working skills. The security clearance is processed and we can set an exact departure and arrival date in the Netherlands. 6. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, you check in and collect your BSN registration number 7. We will sign Employment Agreements at our office. 8. You’ll then begin training with Gate Gourmet learning their systems and getting relevant security passes, also before starting your work, you will receive a course in HACCP and Employee Air Freight Requirements during your onboarding process. 9. You will start working. Shifts are flexible, as is air transport. You will always receive a specific schedule in time via email and text message. 10. The first week's wage will arrive in your account in two weeks. After that, your wage comes every Thursday. FAQ’s • Is this a temporary job? O No, although we are a recruitment company we offer permanent contracts and guarantee full time hours. • How long is the contract for? o As this is a permanent contract we’d like you to stay and work with us for a long time, we are looking for people to join us for a minimum of six months to some staff. • Where will I live? o We have access to shared houses or apartments through our property partners across the Netherlands, all locations meet SNF standards, this is the government department who ensure workers accommodation is of a good standard.
