Saigon Cuisine in Maastricht is a popular Vietnamese restaurant known for its authentic flavours, freshly prepared dishes and warm hospitality. Guests enjoy traditional Vietnamese specialties made with quality ingredients in a welcoming atmosphere. To strengthen the kitchen team, Saigon Cuisine is looking for an Independent Cook I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
Independently preparing ingredients (mise en place)
Applying basic cooking techniques
Contributing ideas and input regarding the composition and improvement of menus, menu items and working methods
Taking responsibility for stock management and ordering supplies
Supervising and guiding kitchen assistants on a technical level
What do you bring as an Independent Cook I?
MBO Level 3 working and thinking level or equivalent
Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Independent, responsible and able to perform well under pressure
A team player with an eye for quality and hygiene

Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month (depending on experience and skills)
