The Blue Lotus in Velp is a Chinese-Indonesian restaurant that has been a well-known name in Velp and the surrounding area for more than 40 years. The restaurant is known for its extensive selection of Chinese-Indonesian dishes, welcoming atmosphere and the option to enjoy dishes in the restaurant or take them away. To strengthen the kitchen team, The Blue Lotus Velp is looking for 2 Independent Cooks I.
Position & Responsibilities
As an Independent Cook I, you are responsible for independently carrying out kitchen activities and actively contributing to the quality of our dishes.
Your responsibilities include:
Independently preparing ingredients (mise-en-place)
Applying fundamental cooking techniques
Contributing ideas and providing input on the composition and adjustment of menus, menu items and working methods
Taking responsibility for inventory management and placing orders
Providing technical guidance and supervising kitchen assistant(s).
What do you bring as an Independent Cook I?
MBO Level 3 working and thinking level or equivalent
Demonstrable knowledge of fundamental cooking techniques
Independent, responsible and able to perform well under pressure
Team player with an eye for quality and hygiene.
What do we offer from The Blue Lotus?
Competitive salary: €2,650 – €3,250 gross per month (depending on experience and skills)
