What are your activities as a warehouse agent?
As a warehouse agent in air cargo you are responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods and materials that are transported by air. This can include receiving, storing, and preparing cargo for shipment, as well as handling customs clearance and documentation.
The specific duties of a warehouse agent in air cargo can vary depending on the company and the type of cargo being handled. However some common tasks include:
• Receiving cargo: This can include checking for damage, verifying the contents against the manifest, and updating inventory records.
• Storing cargo: This can include organizing and storing cargo in appropriate locations, ensuring that it is properly secured, and monitoring the condition of the cargo.
• Preparing cargo for shipment: This can include loading cargo onto pallets, wrapping and securing the cargo, and preparing shipping documents such as air waybills and export declarations.
• Operating cargo handling equipment: This can include using forklifts and other equipment to move cargo withing the warehouse.
In summary, as a warehouse agent in airport cargo you are responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods and materials that are transported by air. This can include receiving, storing, and preparing cargo for shipment, as well as handling customs clearance and documentations.
What are the job requirements?
• Good command of the English language (English is spoken throughout the application process, as well as at the workplace and during the training sessions)
• Warehouse and/ or forklift experience or affiliation
• You are resistant to stress, result- oriented and flexible
• You have no problem with physical (heavy) work (you will be working with airfreight!)
• You have been living in Europe for at least 8 years and have no criminal history, due to airport screening
• You are able to follow training sessions in English
