Our client is one of the world’s largest transporters of cargo via aviation in the world. In a joint venture we are now expanding the team at Schiphol and offer certified training in all areas of international cargo handling.
Job
Initially you begin the role working in the warehouse preparing loads for transport, this includes netting freight pallets securely. You’ll also be breaking down pallets as they arrive, organizing them for forward transport or onto other aircraft. During this stage you’ll also be trained in pallet building, this is the process of stacking goods in a safe and weight efficient way to be loaded onto aircraft. You’ll be trained on relevant equipment including forklifts and other handling equipment.
After your initial training you’ll have the opportunity to move to working in and around the aircraft, this role requires a Dutch security check, this can take about three months to complete so you’ll only be able to progress to this after your training in the warehouse. This part features more training n a variety of equipment and systems for working safely and effectively around aircraft.

• You’ll need to be physically fit for this role
• You should speak some English to be able to take instruction
• You’ll need to be eligible to work in the EU (sorry we cannot sponsor non EU nationals)
• You’ll need a clean criminal record
• You’ll also need to be enthusiastic, keen to travel and want to live in the Netherlands.

• Is this a temporary job?
o No, although we are a recruitment company we offer permanent contracts and guarantee full time hours.
• How long is the contract for?
o As this is a permanent contract we’d like you to stay and work with us for a long time, we are looking for people to join us for a minimum of six months as we invest significantly in your training. Our client also offers permanent contracts following training to some staff, this gives the opportunity to move around the world with them.
• Is the training certified?
o Yes, the training and certificates you achieve are recognised at airports across Europe.
• Where will I live?
o We have access to shared houses or apartments through our property partners across the Netherlands, all locations meet SNF standards, this is the government department who ensure workers accommodation is of a good standard. We also make sure you’ll be near the area where you’re working.
